This experience was worth every dollar! Whether you’ve kayaked before like us, or you’re a newcomer, they have options for everyone. You can choose from many destinations to kayak and choose to singles, like we did, or if you prefer for something less strenuous, you can opt for a tandem kayak with a partner. Either way, Aaron and his father Mark make the experience great! They’re super cool, very personable and have a lot of knowledge and interesting facts to share. The experience also comes with photos that they take and provide after the trip to make sure your experience was captured and can be remembered. We kayaked from Amelia Island over to Cumberland island. We saw lots of dolphins along the way, beautiful sighting of Fort Clinch from the ocean and when we arrived on Cumberland, we roamed the beach, saw some wild horses, spent time looking for sharks teeth and enjoyed cooling off in the ocean for a bit before paddling back. We will definitely do this again and encourage others to do the same! Absolutely loved it!

We had an amazing time on the Lofton Creek kayak tour with Madison and Mark! From the moment we launched, they kept everyone entertained with their humor while sharing interesting facts about the area and the wildlife. They were both incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire two-hour excursion so much fun. We were lucky enough to see turtles and even a few alligators, which made the experience even more memorable! This tour is perfect for everyone—families, couples, solo adventurers, first-time kayakers, and experienced paddlers alike. The water is calm, the pace is relaxed, and the guides do a fantastic job making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident on the water. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing way to experience the natural beauty of Amelia Island, we can’t recommend Amelia Island Kayak Excursions enough. Madison and Mark truly made this one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely book with them again!
Even as locals, Amelia Island Kayak Excursions exceeded our expectations! Our group of six had an amazing time. Amber and Madison (and sweet John Mark) were friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience fun, relaxed, and safe for everyone. Seeing small alligators and turtles in their natural habitat was a highlight, and it was such a great reminder of how much natural beauty we have right here in our own backyard. Whether you're visiting Amelia Island or have lived here for years like we have, this is an experience that's absolutely worth doing. We can't wait to come back!
Incredible 2 hour event. Madison was instrumental in making this a worthwhile trip. Explanation of the creek, the nature of the color of the water, the flora and the fauna. By the way, crocodiles were seen. He also explains the famous railroad bridge and other interesting facts that are tied to the creek. The kids had a great time so did I. I can’t wait to take the grandkids on the Okefenokee Swamp tour!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars for Amelia Island Kayak Excursions My family and I had an amazing 2.5 hour paddle up the Amelia River with Amelia Island Kayak Excursions, and I’m pretty sure our guide, Madison, is some kind of local legend. Not only did he take on my wife, me, our four grown kids, and one brave boyfriend — he did it right after surviving spring break week in the area. Once we knew his back story, we did our best not to awaken his PTSD from the prior week and mostly behaved throughout the paddle. The equipment was top notch, the kayaks were comfortable, and once we got away from the launch point, the river opened up into a peaceful stretch of classic Florida scenery. Madison’s knowledge of the local flora and fauna added so much to the experience. He pointed out all kinds of bird species, shared great stories about the ecosystem, and even helped us spot a few gators with the calm confidence of someone who clearly knows the river better than most people know their own backyard. The pace of the paddle was perfect — long enough to feel like a real adventure but never too taxing for anyone in our group. You can tell this is a true family business. Madison genuinely cared about our enjoyment, checked in with everyone throughout the trip, and made sure we were comfortable, safe, and having fun. His communication leading up to the day was excellent as well — clear, friendly, and left us with zero questions about what to expect. It made the whole outing smooth and stress free. If you’re visiting Amelia Island and want a memorable, well run, and surprisingly peaceful adventure (even with a large, semi-chaotic family in tow), book with Amelia Island Kayak Excursions. And if you get Madison — congratulations, you’ve hit the jackpot.
