Amelia South Condo Rentals by ERA Fernandina Beach Realty

Nice place on the beach. But was a little perturbed that two elevators were out of commission, especially when on the 7th floor.

Updated Review following response (original posted in July. Now, August 2025): We returned to Amelia South this year after a positive stay in 2024, but sadly, our experience this time was deeply disappointing and concerning. We paid over $5,000 for a 3-bedroom unit and found it unclean and poorly maintained upon arrival—dirty towels behind doors, sand in the couch, stained and worn furniture, mold in the bathrooms, and broken fixtures. The dryer vents directly into the primary bedroom, making it hot and dusty—particularly problematic for my elderly parents, one of whom is recovering from a respiratory illness. After the trip, I was diagnosed with scabies, which my doctor attributed to the unsanitary conditions. I began showing symptoms during the stay and, having had scabies once before, I was told by my doctor that reinfestation can cause symptoms to appear within 1–2 days. I am also 12 weeks pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, which makes this experience not only unpleasant but a serious health concern. My children are now showing signs as well and are undergoing treatment. The management company responded by offering a 20% refund, which I appreciate as a gesture. However, they denied any connection between the condo and my diagnosis, and they did not directly acknowledge the original cleanliness issues I reported—even before I knew I had scabies. I had hoped for a more responsible and empathetic resolution, especially given the health risks to my family. To be fair, the pool and view are beautiful, and the maintenance worker on-site was incredibly diligent and kind. But this does not make up for the lack of cleaning standards and poor property management that affected our health and our ability to enjoy our stay. I would not return or recommend this property until serious improvements are made in cleanliness, maintenance, and guest support.

Been sick since I got home with a respiratory illness. Could it have been the mildew in the light sockets? Unit 4 C was not up to our standards. You can see from the pictures that quite a few things are in need of repair...or just buy new. We couldn't figure out why the TV in LR wasn't working...well...only to realize that the power strip did not have a red light...so no power! Look at the rust on the toilet paper holder....and the sliding glass shower doors in bedroom 2...don't slide...so you get soaked before getting in shower. The hand held shower head didn't work. Look at mildew on sliders in LR....oh and handle is broken. We made sure to wash everything before using any utensils or dishes....oh...and an ironing board...but where was the iron. We should have stayed with the house we rented last year! I will give a big thank you to Bruce...the maintenance man....what a nice guy! Do yourself a big favor....think twice about 4C in these condos.

Love this place. Rented Condo E2 and had every amenity we needed to feel like we were at home for the week. Fully equipped kitchen. A large selection of books, games, and children's activities. Awesome view of the ocean.
