We did not know this place existed and we are happy we found it. Definitely go on a Friday evening! The experience felt private and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Our pedicures were performed by: Zi’Kymberly Sarah Norma Dawnell Instructor on premises was: Ms. Ruthchie We laughed and got to know the team on shift through great conversation. These ladies will make good nail techs once they complete their education!
I had to give this business one star just to post a review, because honestly, I would not have given it even that. I had my hair colored here, and my daughter was also attending the school. After researching several schools, we truly believed this would be a great fit for her. Unfortunately, within the first month of her starting, there were numerous changes, including staff being let go and a new director and instructor coming in. In my opinion, the changes happened too quickly and negatively impacted the environment. During my visit to have my hair done, I had the opportunity to observe the new instructor, and I was very disappointed by her behavior and lack of professionalism. During the four hours I was there, I observed her outside smoking multiple times, and students appeared to have difficulty locating her when they needed assistance. I also overheard her make comments along the lines of not being there because she wanted to be, and that she was only there to teach. That attitude was concerning to me, especially from someone responsible for teaching and mentoring students who are investing in their future careers. The situation became even more concerning when she approached my daughter and instructed her to do something to my hair that I was not comfortable with. When I expressed my concerns, her response was dismissive, essentially saying that was how she did things back in the day. However, it is 2026, and I have blonde hair that requires proper care. I contacted my mother, who has over 30 years of experience in cosmetology, and she advised us not to proceed with what was being suggested. Other students also stepped in to help my daughter complete the service so she could gain the experience and hours she needed. What concerns me most is the treatment of my daughter and other students. Based on what we have experienced, I feel there has been bullying, unnecessary tension, and an abuse of authority. Students should be able to attend school in an environment where they feel supported, respected, and encouraged to succeed. Sending your child off to pursue a career they are passionate about should be an exciting and proud moment. Students deserve instructors who genuinely care about their education, professional development, and future success. Unfortunately, our experience has left us disappointed and concerned. When students begin leaving for other schools and negative reviews and complaints start coming in, I believe management needs to take a serious look at what is happening within the staff and the overall learning environment. A school’s reputation is built on the quality of its education, the professionalism of its staff, and the way it treats its students. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously before more students lose confidence in the school.I would not recommend this school for hair services, nor would I recommend enrolling here while the same director and instructors remain in place and the current attitude continues.
Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I have called there three different times and each time I spoke with someone extremely rude and I have to ask why are you even there. The first time they said there was no one could take me and they were too busy for walk-ins. The second time, they said they were closing early and the third and last time was today when I called and the person who answered, didn't anser the phone with who they are, hello or any other type of salutation. She simply said I'll call you back later. I said excuse me are you talking to me, because I thought for certain she wouldn't have answered the phone like that. She said yes I am and she never called back. I called back a couple of times and the phone just rang and no one answered and NO... she never called back! Just shut the doors if you don't want real clients to practice on.
As a 42 year old Veteran attending I have had zero issues. Mr. B is a first class instructor willing to go beyond his duties to teach and give corrective criticism. The barber instructors are all different and are not lacking in knowledge. I recommend this school to anyone in search of a solid barber program.
Katelyn did a wonderful job with my color touch up, drastic cut and added bangs. I love it!! I made an appointment for next month.
