I’ve been doing martial arts for over 10 years and tore my ACL last year, which was my first serious injury. The rehab process before Apex was frustrating. I didn’t get much guidance early on, and after surgery there were pain complications that seemed to make my previous PTs hesitant to push anything. For about 6 months, most of what I was doing felt very “play it safe,” and I wasn’t building the kind of strength I needed for my sport. Sessions were also limited, with only a few minutes of one-on-one time before being sent to do exercises on my own. By the time I was discharged, I was told I was behind, but also expected to be able to run “3 miles” when I could barely get through half a mile without pain. Coming to Apex was a completely different experience. I went to Mike needing real guidance and a clear path back to martial arts, and within a few months I felt a huge difference. On top of them being very flexible with my schedule, every session has been one-on-one, and everything is tailored to my goal of returning to a combat sport. I’ve been able to safely push my knee in ways I was previously told not to, and it’s made a big difference in both my progress and confidence. Also, as a woman, spaces like this can sometimes feel intimidating, but that wasn’t my experience here at all. The environment has been welcoming and down-to-earth from the start.

I came to Apex Rehab and Training to see Dr. Mike when I was dealing with some pain/tightness behind my knee/upper calf area that was affecting my semi pro team training for soccer. He was very thorough, did some manual work on the area along with testing to evaluate the issue and he gave exercises to do on my own! Dr. Mike also checked in on me to see how everything was going through the next couple weeks. My issue was resolved and I credit Apex for helping me with this! Go see him if you are dealing with an injury! Great guy, you won’t be disappointed
Working with Dr. Mike at Apex has been so awesome! He is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I really appreciate how he takes the time to really listen and understand my experience after having meniscus surgery on my right knee. The types of therapy and exercises for my knee was just what I needed to really make significant progress. I am so grateful that working with Dr. Mike was suggested to me and I highly recommend him!

My experience with Apex PT has been phenomenal. Mike is very hands on & explains everything. I had rotator cuff surgery 3 weeks ago. Since then, I’ve been seen 3 times a week. My range of motion has improved dramatically. I began PT well before my surgery to begin strengthening the muscles around the injury. I wholeheartedly recommend Apex.
