Ascension St. Vincent's Emergency Care - Westside

This will be our number 1 ER from now on. The hospital staff went above and beyond. From noticing my need for a wheel chair as I entered, to turning their personal fan on me as I was overheated. The nurses were extremely attentive as well as the the techs in the CT lab. The doctor was pleasant, knowledgeable and caring and helped me understand my condition. My visit to Ascension St. Vincent's Emergency Care was a truly comforting experience. From the time I entered, I was greeted by courteous and caring staff members. But much to my chagrin, my symptoms seemed to had left my body almost at the moment I arrived. In spite of dismissing me or turning me away, a very kind and caring Doctor Sterka chose to treat me to check for any problem as a precaution. I appreciated that because it made me feel very much at ease. The staff was just awesome, caring, pleasant attitudes, and so professional. Afterwards, my personal diagnosis was that a higher power had made me very ill for a few days to force me to get the rest I was obviously denying myself due to having so much at home to do. I got the message.

This place is not a hospital. This place is barely a clinic. I went here wasted an hour of my time was disrespected by their horrible staff and ended up having to drive to Saint Vincent's Riverside. I have video and proof of the incident. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hospital or medical facility. They got very upset when I My friend stated videoing their poor care and my own pain and suffering 💔

This review is about Dr. Sterka only, I actually really like this location, hence why I keep returning for all my families ER needs. Simple and short, his bedside manner sucks and he's very patronizing. I don't like any doctor that makes smart remarks or says things when they do not think that you hear them. I left this visit still in pain and 38 wks pregnant and he offered me percocets, wth?!?!. Needless to say I decline the pain meds and just took the antibiotics. Now that I think about it, they didn't do any kind of vitals on me or my baby. The doctor literally just checked the area I was complaining about and that's it. He did leave shortly after seeing me, so I guess he was in a rush. That's terrible.
