They don’t even get one star for me, but I want to leave this review. I was there Thursday with my daughter for a very deep cat scratch. The nurse asked for our pharmacist. We gave them the address than the name. The doctor that we saw said he would send in my antibiotics to that store. The store was in a different state when I finally got to that state and went to the store they had no prescription there. I called this urgent care and the lady never returned my call saying she would talk to the provider there so I had to call the next day when I called the next day. The lady said that doctor is not there anymore and I’d have to be seen again so I spent all that money on the first urgent care did not get my prescription and now I have an infection from the cat scratch because I didn’t get my prescription and there’s nothing noted. Do not go to this urgent care. They do not follow through. Nobody does if you want to get an infection like me and they don’t send you antibiotics and they just talk then go here. I do not recommend them.
Urgent Care
1000 Plantation Island Drive South, St. Augustine
Very clean office Front desk very helpful. Medical assistant came in quickly and was very efficient. The doctor followed soon after that and she was kind. She explained what was happening and I felt assured after seeing her. Won't think twice about going back if need be.
We had the very best experience at this urgent care with Amber and Jamie. We were coming for a long awaited Disney trip but stayed in St Augustine for a few days first. When we arrived I woke up with pain in my back. I assumed it was kidneys and feared it would ruin the trip. The PA or NP, one of the girls I mentioned above, knew just what to do. I got a shot abd antibiotics and went on to have the trip of a lifetime. I am late writing this review but will be forever grateful!
Let's start at the beginning. I've had extreme cramps, diarrhea and vomiting for days. I walked in and said I was decided to go to urgent care or the ER as I would need IV fluids and possibly a cyclospora test. Been here for almost 3 hours and finally the Dr comes in to the room. Clearly he doesn't understand how to have a conversation with a patient and would rather just talk at them then listen. I explained that my PCP advised I go to an urgent care or the ER, this was closest and I had hoped quicker. 3 hours into the debacle I find out they do not have any option to provide IV fluids, and are unable to test for cyclospora. Also one of the ladies working came out and locked the door at 4:49PM and advised us to not let anyone in if they weren't our immediate family. Needless to say I'm very disappointed.
