Baptist Rehabilitation - Wolfson Family Outpatient Center

Having received a referral for chronic neck pain physical therapy I selected Baptist Wolfson Family Outpatient Center because of proximity to my home. It was my good fortune to have been assigned to PT therapist Christina Gore. During our initial session she listened carefully to my description of my neck pain, asked thoughtful questions and suggested a comprehensive care plan for my approval. Each session was to last 45 minutes and continue for 8 more visits. A variety of exercises was introduced, explained and on subsequent sessions monitored to ensure I was doing them correctly. As the term progressed she would manually massage trigger points on various neck and shoulder muscles to relieve any pain. A consummate professional, "Tina's" years of experience serve her well. Her selection of exercises was spot on, and gave me relief almost from the moment I began them. Her prescribed "homework" schedule was realistic and easy to follow. On completing the process, tasks which before were a challenge I am now able to perform pain-free. In addition to the stated objectives she was very generous with her time by helping me work on typical needs of a person in his mid-eighties, such as balance and mobility issues. Her incessant and near-constant correct sitting, standing and walking posture reminders while seemingly unimportant at the time resulted in my substantially improved posture. Her voice is still in my head some two weeks out and hopefully will remain for a very long time. Complementing her professional expertise were her congeniality and inherent affability. Rather than dreading the experience I looked forward to each session and was actually sorry when the term was over. She merits my highest praise; should I need physical therapy in the future Tina Gore will absolutely be my first choice.
