Beach Hut Cafe

I had a few hours to grab some brunch while my wife had some medical procedure done. I’d heard of the Beach Hut Cafe so I thought I’d try it out. It was packed, which is a good sign and I got a table quickly. My server was very pleasant and on the ball. I quickly got my coffee and minutes later a full country breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent and the restaurant was clean and orderly. I recommend Beach Hut Cafe highly and it’s 5 stars across the board.

My husband Alex and I absolutely love Beach Hut! The waitstaff is extremely attentive and friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Not exaggerating in the least bit, best breakfast I’ve had in my entire life!

This was our first visit. We stood at the door, b/c we didn't know whether to take a table or wait to be seated. We finally asked. Once seated, no server came for over 5 minutes. The waitress said they were understaffed and she'd get to us soon. The food, which didn't come for over ten minutes, was mediocre and came cold. The sausage was salty and tasted microwaved. The potatoes looked like the frozen squares sold in bags. Toast was cold. The environment is noisy, busy, and hectic. I understand restaurants can have staffing issues at times, but when this happens, patrons should be politely notified that there may be a wait--not just ignored. We even had to wait for our check. There are so many great breakfast restaurants in Jax Beach, that I just don't get why this one is so popular.

5 stars for consistency and nostalgia alone. I've been coming to Beach Hut for brunch and breakfast for over 20 years. Sure, the place could use a little TLC, but honestly, I love that not much has changed. While I’ve had lunch here a couple of times, breakfast is where it’s at for me. Grits, a bacon, egg, and cheese on Texas toast, and that little fruit garnish on the plate—it's the small details that make it special. One standout feature? When ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese, you can get it scrambled all together. It completely changes the vibe, and it’s so good. Beach Hut isn’t fancy by any means, but they welcome you like family, and the breakfast has always been delicious. The picnic-style tables, local art, and true Southern hospitality make this place feel like home.
