Staff was very friendly and professional. I was checked quickly and taken to a treatment room. The doctor was quick to see me and was thorough. I was given an easy to follow treatment plan as well as a follow-up plan. It was very easy to schedule a follow-up appointment.
Dr. Catherine Manolakis is a phenomenal GI specialist. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Celiac disease and lymphocytic colitis, and truly stays up to date on the latest research, medications, and treatment options. I deeply appreciate how thoroughly she explains things and how current she is with emerging therapies. Her bedside manner is exceptional — she listens carefully, takes concerns seriously, and makes you feel heard and respected. I never feel rushed, and she approaches care thoughtfully and collaboratively. If you are dealing with complex GI or autoimmune-related issues, I highly recommend Dr. Manolakis. She combines expertise with genuine compassion, which is rare and invaluable.
Dr. Blake Thompson provided exceptional care during my visit. He was professional, compassionate, and took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis and treatment options, making me feel comfortable and confident in my care. The staff at Borland Groover was equally outstanding—friendly, efficient, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson and the entire Borland Groover team for their excellent patient care and dedication to their patients’ well-being.
New patient for screening services. Don’t think I’ll return. Such is modern healthcare, this operates like a big box clinic that asking you to pre-complete mounds of repetitive paperwork and arrive an hour before you appointment, only to wait an additional hour because your doctor is behind schedule. Also, scheduling an unnecessary follow-up at out-of-pocket cost to find the results of your no out-of-pocket preventative screening. Doc cancelled my initial appointment due to schedule, after I already cleared my schedule. Staff is friendly and care is good, just turned off by my experience here.
We couldn't be more pleased!! The Boreland Groover office staff, as soon as we walked through the front door was very uplifting and it did not end there! Dr Avery Chisholm and all the medical staff were very kind and compassionate while bringing a level of professionalism and confidence that convinced us we are in very good and capable hands. Knowing that they will be there for my husband as he goes through this medical crisis has lifted a heavy burden!! I can't express our gratitude in finding this medical team in Yulee Florida where we live! As seniors that have difficulty driving in Jacksonville at this stage of our lives, this is such a blessing!! Thank you!! 🙌
