Brooks Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic - Mandarin

I started my rehab in March 2026 for my ACDF (cervical disc fusion). I had been in a hard neck brace for approx 7 weeks. Bryan Downs was my physical therapist. He was excellent, patient, and listened to my concerns and what exercises we needed to focus on each week to get me on the road to recovery. You have to do your part with home exercises in order to help the healing process. I finished up my time today and I feel so much better. Now I need to focus on in home exercises that I learned throughout my time at Brooks .

Your location on San Jose is close to my home, there is plenty of parking, but the best is the exceptional staff, their friendliness, compassion and dedication to getting me so much closer to where I needed to be in strength and stamina. I am determined to continue my exercises and stretches! Thank you especially to my therapist Brian, for his knowledge, skill, consideration, and enthusiasm to work with me, even as I struggled with some bouts of allergies and asthma! You are all GREAT!!

After six months of OT at Brooks Rehabilitation, I can’t say enough good things about Leanne Williamson! When I first started, my hand movement was so limited I couldn’t even brush my teeth without frustration. Leanne changed all that. She has this amazing mix of deep knowledge, patience, and creativity — every session felt like progress - and somehow, she even made it fun! Week by week, she helped me regain strength, flexibility, and confidence in my hand. Today, I can do things I thought I might never do again — from writing comfortably to cooking without hesitation. I also worked with the neck and back PT team at Brooks, and they were fantastic too — caring, professional, and always cheering me on.
