Brooks Rehabilitation Pediatric Clinic - St. Augustine

I went to make an appointment for my child and was notified that we cannot do that without a referral. Our insurance is federal and specifically does not require a referral. That requirement would cost me $175 to go to a pediatrician to say “send us a referral for her elbow” at which point I’d then have to pay for the appointment at Brooks. It doesn’t make a difference for them, they are still getting paid, and patients shouldn’t have to pay out of a pocket to another doctor just to seek access. The corruption in the medical industry is wild.

Brooks pediatric rehab has the most amazing administrative staff. They are kind and smart. Brooks rehab would receive more stars if only after receiving the 85 dollar copay the OT charged my insurance125 dollars per 15 intervals for her co treatment with speech for the 1/2 hour was also charged for speech for yes money billed. It was about 500 for a half hour. And even though I requested info and work for my kid, the OT person never sent work home even after requesting multiple times.

My son has been a patient at Brooks for over 3 years now. The Therapists at this particular location are incredible. We have seen a few come and go but they work incredibly hard to create a consistent standard of excellence. My son, even on his most difficult days, has been shown incredible compassion and kindness. The Staff here have always been a reliable source of help and encouragement even on the darkest days. They are also our biggest cheerleaders when my son meets his goals. We absolutely love Brooks. They have changed our lives and given my son the tools he needed to succeed. I would highly recommend them to every parent in our area.

We just adore this place! Our CP girlie does all of the therapies offered at Brooks & they have all been absolutely life changing & life giving. The team at brooks takes time to learn each child’s interests and often base their therapeutic work off of that-leading to happy kids who engage in their therapy discipline. I can’t imagine parenting without her OT, PT, & Speech team. They feel like family-all the while they’re using their expertise to show us as a family how to best love our child!
