Cantina Louie (St. Johns/Aberdeen, FL)

I was disappointed with my experience at the Long Leaf Parkway location. The restaurant was not busy at peak lunch hours, there were only about 3 to 4 occupied tables inside and one table outside, where I requested to sit. It took about 10 minutes before my server came to take my drink order. After taking my order, she never came back to check on me. Another server brought my food, and the only other time my server returned to my table was to collect the payment. The service felt inattentive, especially considering how slow the restaurant was at a typical peak lunch hour. When I reviewed my bill, I noticed I had been charged the regular price for my chicken burrito bowl instead of the lunch special price. I asked about the charge, and my server spoke with the manager. She explained that their pricing software was not working correctly. Instead of refunding the difference, they gave me a free lunch special card for a future visit. While I appreciate the gesture, I would have preferred to have the billing error corrected at the time rather than receive a coupon for another visit. Between the slow, inattentive service and the incorrect charge, this was not the experience I expected from the Cantina Louie St johns location.

Food is great like always. Our waiter gavin was excellent and very attentive to our table of 10! We went for our sons birthday and he got the entire staff to sing our son happy birthday and brought us a free desert. Will for sure be coming back just to have the service that Gavin gave us tonight.

Makena was our server and she was great! We had a great meal (chicken fajitas were delicious!). Large portions too! This will be two more meals for sure! Drinks were delicious (one frozen mango margarita and my honey had a mojito). Chips and salsa while you wait for your meal - delicious! If you haven’t tried them, you definitely should!

We were quickly seated. We arrived before it became busy. Service was good and the place was nice. Food was very filling.
