The front desk person, Ashley, was very kind and courteous. She was extremely helpful and wore a warm smile in helping me feel more comfortable with this visit. I also want to compliment the assistant, Cheyanne,. She was also very kind and made me feel at ease in her examination. Both of the employees are exemplary and appear to be very dedicated to their jobs. Please take a moment and personally congratulate them.
Over the weekend, somehow I picked up an infection in my right eye. I thought it might be pink eye, although my eyeball wasn’t actually pink lol — my eyelid and the area around my eye were swollen and red. I looked on Google for the closest CareSpot, as I had been to one maybe once before in the past. From calling and actually getting through to a live person without going through multiple menus, to the very helpful receptionist when I arrived, it was a great experience. The doctor was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. All around, this was a great place to go when I needed to get checked out. I highly recommend this CareSpot if you need medical help and aren’t sure where to start. Great people and a great experience!
My visit at this location was amazing! PA Cherisse Mabe did an amazing job with my care and helped me so much! She did everything she could to keep me from having to go to the ER and she was successful! She honestly did everything she could for me and I am so grateful! The only downside is the wait time. Front reception ladies weren’t very friendly so I was very hesitant about being there but it worked out.
I am giving 3 stars because upon entering the nurse at the front desk was warm and welcoming and helpful. The nurse assisting the doctor was also kind and made me feel comfortable. The doctor on the other hand was very dismissive, and made me feel as though I didn't know my own symptoms. She proceeded to tell me how she wo I ld give me a prescription for bug bites on my legs when I was there for what I thought to be an ear infection. I asked her what would be done about my ear and she explained there was a ball of wax and that she would see if the nurse would irrigate my ear which she did. All the while making me feel comfortable. When the doctor returned I told her that I still felt the same. She told me that she had already explained I would need to go to a different doctor to have anymore done. She then looked and said "looks like you have an ear infection I'll prescribe an antibiotic for that". Had i not pressed the issue I would have left there with an ear infection thinking I was fine. And to add insult to injury (pun intended) she explained about the meds at my discharge where I asked if they could fill them there. With the same attitude she had the entire time she replied "we dont have them here thats why I sent them to your pharmacy " but I was never informed that they were sent to my pharmacy! If not for the 2 nurses being so pleasant it would have been a horrible experience.
i’ve been to this urgent care before and actually had a very good experience. the doctor i saw a few weeks ago was wonderful and made me feel incredibly comfortable during an uncomfortable visit. i had completed everything online beforehand, and when i walked in, crystal at the front desk greeted me, told me to have a seat, and said someone would be with me shortly. easy. today was a completely different experience at the front desk. i rushed in with my daughter around 7:15 pm because something was wrong with her eye and we were concerned it could be pink eye. knowing they closed at 8, i was already nervous about getting her checked in on time. i walked up to the desk and crystal asked what she could do for me. i explained that my daughter needed to be seen for her eye. crystal said nothing. she began clicking and typing on her computer, so naturally i assumed she was pulling something up and would ask for my daughter’s name, insurance information, or give me whatever paperwork was needed. after standing there for several minutes with absolutely no direction, i finally sat down, assuming she would call me back up when she was ready. she didn’t. almost 10 minutes after we arrived, with closing time getting closer, i finally asked if there was something i needed to sign or complete for my daughter to be seen. crystal looked at me and said, “did you not see the sign? scan here and sign in?” no, i obviously did not see it — which is precisely why i had walked up to the receptionist and told her why we were there. all she needed to say when we walked in was, “please scan the qr code to start the check-in process and someone will be with you shortly.” that would have taken five seconds. when i asked why she hadn’t simply told me that, she became defensive and started raising her voice, asking how she was supposed to know i hadn’t seen the qr-code signs and saying she “probably would have said something eventually.” the interaction became uncomfortable enough that someone from the back came out to see what was happening. this is an urgent care. people walking through the door are often sick, worried, in pain, or bringing in a sick child. a receptionist should not sit silently while a patient who has already explained why they are there unknowingly waits without being checked in — especially 45 minutes before closing — and then act as though the patient should have known the facility’s check-in procedure. if this location requires patients to check themselves in by qr code, that’s perfectly fine. but then the person sitting at the front desk should simply tell patients that when they walk in. “welcome. please scan the qr code to check in.” that’s it. the entire unpleasant interaction could have been avoided with one sentence. i do want to specifically recognize shye, the nurse who took care of us. she was AMAZING. genuinely one of the sweetest people and such a complete turnaround from how the visit started. she was kind, warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to help make sure we could get my daughter’s prescriptions filled in time before everything closed. she was wonderful and deserves recognition for the way she treated us. the actual medical care we’ve received here has been great, both today and during my previous visit. unfortunately, the front-desk experience today was unnecessarily rude, unhelpful, and inappropriate. i would strongly recommend completing the online check-in before arriving, because based on today’s experience, you should not assume the person at the front desk will tell you what you need to do.
