We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casablanca Inn on the Bay and are already looking forward to coming back. One thing to keep in mind is that you’re staying in a historic building, so expect all the charm that comes with that. For us, the location couldn’t have been better. Having the Waterfront Café during the day and the Tini Martini Bar after 3 PM right on-site was the perfect bonus. As a couple, we also really appreciated that the atmosphere was primarily adults-only, which made for a relaxing getaway. We visited in July when it was absolutely scorching outside, but we were pleasantly surprised by how cool and comfortable our room stayed the entire time. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Peter, Edward, and Joe were incredibly friendly, hardworking, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. They made us feel like more than just guests. A special thank you to Miracle, who greeted us with a warm “Welcome home!” every time we returned. It was such a simple gesture, but it made us feel so welcomed and added a personal touch that we’ll remember. If you’re looking for a charming place in an unbeatable location with outstanding hospitality, we highly recommend Casablanca Inn on the Bay!
Location: AWESOME! I parked and never moved my car til the day we left. Centrally located for an easy walk to wherever you want to go. Parking for guests is free so the fact you aren't paying a meter or lot daily is another selling point. As a guest we had priority seating for the bar and restaurant, which get very busy. Ask for Will as your server, he's fantastic. The room was lovely and comfortable. I slept like a baby. The balcony was perfect for relaxing and people watching.
Great hotel, and perfect location!! The room was a good size, and our room (#13) had a front patio. The hotel is right in the center of everything, and convient to walk anywhere. They also gave us a free breakfast which was GREAT! AND to top it off they even included a Martini drink! What an amazing experience. My wife was originally wanting a chain hotel with more stars but we both agreed this was the best choice and we were so glad we stayed here. If we ever go back to this city we will always stay here!
While searching for a room in St. Augustine, Casablanca Inn came up. I thought it was too good to be true: a bed and breakfast room for less than the generic hotel rooms in the area *and* pet friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find it *was* true. We had a quaint, comfy room with a four poster bed, complimentary cocktails for happy hour on a front veranda overlooking the water, and a very nice hot breakfast in the morning all within walking distance of almost everything one might want to see in town. We couldn't have been happier.
I don’t understand why this hotel has 4.1, it should be 5. Outstanding service, everyone is nice and accommodating. Great bar, free martinis, free delicious breakfast with views of the bay (you’re 20ft from water). If you have a dog, stay here.. they’re extremely accommodating for your pets and the fee is minimal. It’s in the heart of the town, walking distance of every restaurant, sightseeing, the fort, etc.. highly recommend. Just know it’s an old building, it’s meant to be unique… it’s not a Hilton.
