I have to say, it took me a few days to post this because I needed to calm down after this experience. We have been going to Cookie Cutters for a few years now and we have been gladly driving 1 hr 45 min to this location due to 2 particular staff members, Brianna and Taylor. My daughter is Autistic and they have always been able to cut her hair even if she squirmed a little bit. After attempting to schedule online with either Brianna or Taylor and saw that they were no longer a part of the staff, I decided to make an appointment with Amy. This particular day we were running 5 minutes late and I made a courteous call. The young lady that answered the phone was very sweet but told me that Amy does not work on Saturdays! Never mind , my email confirmation had Amy’s name on it. Then I get told that my daughter was scheduled with Emma who we have never had before. Although, Emma was very nice, I have no clue what kind of cut this was as you can see from the pictures! I asked for a trim with long layers and my daughter’s hair is now lopsided! It was hard to tell how it was cut while my daughter was in the chair especially since it was not blow dried so I could really see it. When I got home and washed her hair/blow dried it myself, that’s when it became very noticeable! I am so disappointed and furious that now I have to find someone else to correct this and pay for another haircut elsewhere right before school is starting! Sadly, we will not be returning customers.
Took both of our boys (ages 2.5 and 11 months) to Cookie Cutters and had a great experience. Amy was their stylist and she was incredibly patient and kind! The entire staff were very friendly. Our oldest has a hard time with haircuts and they did a wonderful job working with him. Will definitely return!
Sadly i booked an appointment. Upon arriving 10 mins early it was very clear my son was 2 people behind. After the appointment time started she still had not even started cutting the girls hair in front of us. The lady informed me it would be 20-30 mins. I scheduled the appointment for scheduling purposes. 20-30 mins after is an entirely new appointment. As somebody in the industry. I was highly disappointed. Especially when I asked why the appointment was needed when its not even taken into consideration. She had little to no care for this. I was so excited for my sons first hair cut and to be a place that requires appointments. They sure do not care about the appointment times as she started a walk in before my son's appointment time.
After reading multiple positive reviews for the stylist, Brianna, I booked a service with her for my non-verbal son with autism. She was so great!! We were able to come when it wasn't busy and my younger son played on the slide while I helped keep my older son's hands away from the clippers. Brianna knew how to work around all of their sensitivities and his headphones. The salon itself is set up so well for kids. My younger son was able to watch the show he enjoys most to keep him entertained. We will definitely be regulars!!
Yesterday was our first time coming here, the stylist was amber i think. She was incredibly patient and awesome with my daughter who has ADHD. Provided her wiggle breaks and taking her when its "time to be frozen." At the end of the appointment, my daughter got exactly what she wanted with a huge smile on her face. Thank you!
