I am so glad I found Dental Specialists of North Florida. From the first call, I could tell they were a professional and caring office. I was able to get an appointment quickly with Dr. Romani. His staff treated me so kindly and explained everything they were doing from the time I walked in. Dr. Romani gave me the greatest news-- that I do not have periodontal disease, as I was told I did by a local dentist. I went in thinking I was going to have to take out a loan to address major problems, and he assured me that I was experiencing normal gum recession that comes from aging and bruxism. He was honest when telling me that I would not benefit from gum grafting for aesthetic reasons. Also, during the exam he noticed my bite was off, so he completed a bite adjustment for me that I had been asking other dentists about for years. He even worked on my mouth guard from another provider to make it more comfortable to wear. I was extremely happy with Dr. Romani's ethical and honest treatment of a new patient. All around, I give this practice an A++!

Dr John Thousand is a pioneer in dental implants. I came to see Dr John after a failed implant, failed bone graft and lot of traumatic experiences. Dr Thousand made me calm and came up with a plan. He first did bone graft, followed by gum graft and then uncover implant surgeries. He is the best and I regret not seeing him in the first place. Thank you Dr John Thousand for your compassion and healing hands. He truly cares for his patients and has the passion for his profession.
Went in for an extraction, bone graft and implant. Was terrified but the entire procedure exceeded any expectations I could have had. Everyone was so kind and explained everything so well to me. The actual procedure went great and I experienced minimum pain during and after. They checked up on me after each phase and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend!
I don’t often leave a review; however Dr. John Thousand and his team deserve the highest regard for the care, knowledge, and performance they exhibit with each patient as if you were their own family member. There are so many people entering the dental field. Dr. John could teach a master class on dental expertise and developing patient trust. His staff are exceptional and should be recognized for their loving care. Thank you for making my experience SO comfortable. Many Blessings to you all!
My son was referred to this office for a tooth extraction that was to complicated for a general dentist to do. We had a consultation with Dr. Romani about the procedure and what it entails. Dr. Romani and his staff were very caring and professional. My son has some anxiety things he is working through and Dr. Romani made him feel very comfortable having this procedure done. He even called in the evening to check on how my son was doing. I would 100% recommend coming to this office for any periodontal work you need to have done. They truly care about their patients and the work they do.
