2nd stay here and this continues to be a winner! The location is fantastic. Having the waterfront deck outside the door of our room is just amazing. Great for morning coffee or evening wine. The breakfast they provide is good and the hospitality of the staff is second to none. Easy walk from the hotel directly into historic St. Augustine.
It is an old motel-style building. Very old facilities. The air conditioner is super loud, you won't be able to sleep well. The shower has a dirty curtain and water splashes out. Should be updated. The bed was comfortable. No black out curtains, only old cheap blinds. The room's floor was full of sand. The grumpy breakfast lady was super rude. Breakfast was trash. The location is good and a short walk from the historic center. Overpriced for an old motel.
Beautiful little gem at the foot of the Bridge of Lions. It has an "Old Florida" charm with updated interiors to make it comfortable and modern. Everything was clean. I enjoyed coffee on the back deck overlooking the water, watching the wildlife. The view of the city is perfect. Our stay was peaceful and restful. It is walking distance just over bridge to the historic city. Complimentary breakfast each morning was lovely.
We could only stay one night this trip, but will definitely try to stay here again. Wonderful, simple room, right on the river at the Leon's Bridge. Quiet. Staff was great, free breakfast was perfect (we had quiche and fruit). Even had a wine and appetizer at 5-6 pm.
Our stay at Edgewater Inn was wonderful! There’s nothing super fancy about the place, but the hospitality was amazing and they made our stay lovely. The rooms are not the most up to date but they are clean. It has more of an old Florida vibe to it. The beds and pillows are comfy! The staff made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. The rooms could benefit from curtains to block the outside lights at night. I made a comment to Tara after the first night and she gave me something to cover up our windows. Tara took care of us throughout our stay along with Rick, Ronnie, and Sarah. I don’t believe I met anyone else but if I did I’m sure they were wonderful too! They all treated us so well! The breakfast casserole was amazing! I loved my morning view from the lobby as I ate breakfast. The social hour in the evening was good. Wines and some juices were provided as well as some light appetizers including cheese, meats, and some dips. And let’s talk about the LOCATION!! You cannot beat the location of this place! Right on the water overlooking historic St. Augustine. Walk across the bridge and you’re right in the heart of downtown. We saw dolphins every day. It’s not the time of year to see the manatees here (too cold for them) but we were told that people do see manatees out there too. We will be back to Edgewater Inn again!!
