It’s awesome that Camp Blanding lets people go in on the base to hike. The Florida trail. We had perfect weather for a hike down to the lake and the remains of the old State Park. The trail was very well maintained.

We only did 1.2 miles out and the same back, so it was about 2 1/2 total for us. The trail continued and we will definitely be back to explore! It's a sandier trail so appropriate footwear is recommended. Beautiful scenery. Does not seem like a highly trafficked trail.
This is wonderful trail to run, walk, or hike. I enjoyed my time traversing the terrain and spending time with nature.
6 miles (one way) through the woods and around 3 lakes. Love it!!
