I understand that damaged barcodes can make checkout more difficult, but I don't believe customers should be blamed when a product they picked up has a torn or unreadable barcode. My experience at the Garden register was disappointing. The cashier repeatedly told me that she couldn't scan the barcode because it was damaged and kept asking for the name of the board. The product label still clearly displayed the full name of the board, but she declined to search for it by name or try another way to identify the item. The board came from the discounted section, so I had no way of knowing the price myself. I was hoping for a little more effort to help resolve the issue rather than being told there was nothing she could do. Customer service is about finding solutions when problems arise. If someone is unable or unwilling to assist, it may be better to have another associate step in. We all have difficult days, and I sincerely hope whatever may have been affecting her gets better. Unfortunately, this experience has made this Home Depot my least favorite location, and I would not recommend having this cashier work the register until customer service improves.
Had a order of lumber delivered. 2x4x8, 4x4x8, had 14 2x4 could not use a few of them because they were really bad, warped, huge knots, split. Looked like they picked the worst boards. Have better luck when I pick my own.
They don’t have any set up for the do it yourself customers that don’t have a table saw to cut fillers or spacer panels for cabinets, but yet they advertise they are there to help with your projects. the store policy is no cuts under 6” ruf cut only. Regardless of how many cabinets you bought.
Kind of rude but we got what we needed
They were friendly enough and helped us out without hesitation. Thumbs up.
