Island Wing Company Grill & Bar - Jacksonville Bartram Market

We were seated outside, came to watch the world cup. Both TVs in our secrion were off and ended up being broken. It took around 15 minutes for a server to arrive. I wouldn't recommend sitting outside, it feels like they forefer about you out there. Once the back-up server arrived she did a great job and was attentive. The food was overall very disappointing. The flat bed was dark brown and obviously burnt to a crisp. I don't understand how they let that leave the kitchen. It took them over 45 minutes to remake it. Everyone was done eating and checks were paid by the time it arrived. The pickle chips appetizer was average, however they don't give you very many for the price they charge. Same with the buffalo chicken dip. Disappointed portions for the price. Mac and cheese and fries were cold. About half of us were happy, and the other were disappointed. The bill came, and we noticed the tip percentages were off. We had a $100 bill and 20% was $30. So be careful with that.

The food and service was absolutely amazing but that isn’t the best part of my experience I was able to change the channel on the tv with a really slow remote and end up putting a video of one hour of silence occasionally interrupted by Deltarune Kawkaw (Kawkaw is a character from Deltarune who is a really cute birb) and on loop so it’ll be on the tv till someone changes it 10/10 experience, nyon!

I’m honestly shocked this place has 4.6 stars. We’ve come in 3 times & my parents maybe 5-6 & I’m not sure it’s ever been a great experience for them & definitely not for us. We tried for the last time tonight. I’ve never thrown away an entire togo order before but we did. I wasn’t going to even try to feed it to our dog. It’s the worst boneless chicken I’ve ever had. I swear it tasted like it had sat in a sink for a few minutes before being cooked. You can buy crappy Walmart frozen chicken better than it. My husband got the same in a different flavor and his was at least okay to eat. I actually had to wait over 5 minutes for the food & I went in 5 minutes after the pick up time. Not sure what took so long bc it was all cold. It’s safe to say we will never return. & honestly I’m a little worried we will get food poisoning after trying to chicken bc it was not right. I would really like the be refunded the $10 but it wasn’t worth it to go back in. We just got something else on the way home after sharing my husbands meal.

We came in for lunch as soon as they opened. This was our first time here. The atmosphere was great, they have plenty of room for big parties. The parking lot looked like there was a lot of people when we left, but there was still so much room for more. They did a great job planning out the tables. We had JJ as our server, she was amazing, super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu. For the appetizers we had the Island Fries adding cheese & bacon, the cheese was the best I’ve ever had! We had to ask what it was! It didnt look like a lot but it filled us up and we still had leftovers. Our entrees were also great! I would definitely recommend! The above review is from 10 months ago, and unfortunately, the food experience the past two times have not been good and disappointed enough to come back. Today 8/21/26 but starting about two weeks ago I came in for lunch with my coworkers, I got the same meal I got from the above review as I was raving and excited to be back, I did the new lunch special and got the boneless wings with Carolina bbq sauce and cheese fries. Fries always great; boneless wings very sad; they were soggy, barely any sauce, and just had an off taste. I didn’t say anything and just brushed it off. I came in today 8/21 with my mom hoping for better and didn’t want that to be my last feel for the restaurant, but, I got the same exact order except added bacon to the fries! And got 10 boneless no lunch special and still, soggy, sad, barely any sauce, wings on the plate. Fries GREAT, beer GREAT. But those boneless wings are just horrendous. Not sure if it’s the lunchtime cook or what? My mom also got the pork ribeye and said it was super dry and had a sulfur taste and couldn’t even eat hers either. They did comp both the wings and ribeye, but just so disappointing, because we had such an amazing first time here. The servers are always super amazing and we of course still tip graciously as it has nothing to do with them! I hope this gets fixed because the atmosphere and people are always great.
