Tried contacting an agent about a rental in a hot area multiple times with no response. When I finally got lucky and got someone to pickup my call, I found out that they were already expecting an application on the unit later this week. Sure would have loved the chance to see the property and had a fair chance to apply before they went under application. Given that rentals in hot areas go fast, it was wild to me that any realty office could be so difficult to reach. This office was an unfortunate low outlier amongst a bevy of St Aug and Jax realty and property management offices that actually answered calls as well as promptly followed up to messages left. Additionally they seem to either have bad info or were trying to discourage my family from applying as they swore up and down that no pets are allowed in the Las Palmas community. The irony being that I know someone with a 2/2 unit in Las Palmas that know for a fact this wasn't the case. Even more ironically that person was texting me from inside the community watching residents walk their dogs about and letting them play in the dog park that Las Palmas has... So all in all, no surprise to see I am not the first person hosed by a lack of response, and apparently not the first person hosed out of a property by the agent failing to respond.
Diane is the absolute best, she helped my wife and I buy our first home in 2017, sold it for us in 2021 and just helped our little family buy this property. She epitomizes a professional, she worked tirelessly to find all homes that met our criteria, she was always very honest about market conditions and what to expect, she did copious research and provided us with information folders for each property we saw, and she communicated very well. Once we found our property and went under contract, she was a staunch agent and negotiated us a great price and helped us further negotiate during the inspection period as issues arose. She was always level headed, realistic and communicative about what is best for us and helped us get a better deal. She guided us through the process and kept us on track to achieve all the tasks you have to accomplish to buy a house. She is also a kind and considerate person that understands the needs of her clients. I could not recommend Diane any higher as I think she is unquestionable gold standard of all real estate agents. If you work with Diane you will not be disappointed!
I’m baffled why Diane remains in this business when she can’t show basic courtesy by responding to messages. After answering her numerous questions, she failed to follow up. I contacted her about multiple properties but never received a proper response. Her dismissive behavior wastes people’s time, and I question whether her listings are even legitimate.
Messages answered every leap year if you are lucky. Bait-and-switch pro. Avoid this agent.
Diane is wonderful to work with, highly recommend.
