This wonderful little place always amazes! Friendly crew and great food! I’ve only had their breakfast so far and I’m one who likes fish for breakfast, and their fish does not disappoint! Perfect, moist, and flaky, and the eggs and potatoes were cooked to perfection and they have great sweet tea! Their pancakes are a delight as well. The atmosphere was pleasant and they had 70’s music playing when I was in there, and they have free refills on tea and soft drinks. In the past they only accepted cash but now cards are accepted which is a big huge plus, and overall this little place is a true gem here in Hastings and is better than the other big city breakfast/brunch places I’ve been to, and yet has that small town friendliness and charm about it which earns it an easy five stars! :-)
My girlfriend and I were in Hastings checking out some real estate when we decided to stop for lunch. A friendly local at a nearby farm market recommended Norma D’s Kitchen, and I’m really glad they did. It was easy to find—the bright red building stands out—and there’s plenty of free parking right out front, which is always a plus. From the moment we walked in, the place just felt right. The staff actually noticed us right away—smiles all around and a warm welcome that you don’t always get these days. We were seated quickly, and within a minute our waitress (I believe her name was Analicia) came over to greet us. She was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great meal. I had a few questions about the menu, and she was more than happy to help, offering suggestions without rushing us. My girlfriend went with the spaghetti and meat sauce, and I had a grilled chicken and ham sandwich on a roll—both were excellent. Simple, hearty, and exactly what we were hoping for. Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying dessert—it just felt like that kind of place. If you find yourself anywhere near Hastings, FL, do yourself a favor and stop in at Norma D’s Kitchen. It’s one of those cozy, welcoming spots that just feels like home. Great food, great service, and a genuinely enjoyable experience. And thank you again to Analicia for making us feel so welcome—you made our visit even better.
Best bacon. Not sure what kind they use but it's good. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Great food and great service
One of my favorite types of breakfast places are locally owned ones. This little gem of a restaurant is one of my favorite places to go when I meet up with my friends to go on motorcycle rides. Norma D's has excellent food and their prices are very good. You get generous portions and your coffee cup is rarely ever empty. I have been here about five times and I have yet to have a bad experience. I will definitely be back a 6th 7th 8th 9th and 10th time. Highly recommended.
Homey place, staff is friendly, service is fast, and most if all, the food is delicious. I could tell it was all freshly made. Nicely seasoned; nothing pre-packaged or frozen. Wish I lived nearby; I'd be there every Saturday for breakfast.
