The church is beautiful and the children section was nice and big. My favorite part about it was that they would have someone willing to work with your special needs child if need be. My only con about my first experience is I didn’t feel welcomed, let me explain what I mean. I could easily walk in and walk out and feel alone in a church full of people. I’m use to being greeted at the door and meeting new faces but not at this church. If I didn’t have my daughter with me I don’t think no one would have knowledge me, that is very important to me as someone who has church anxiety and is struggling with my spiritual side. I think that is something this church needs to work on, make people feel welcome every time they come through the doors, rather it’s their first time or 100th time. That small step can bring someone closer to Jesus.
The Young adult group is full of stuck up high and mighty rich kids. I was mistreated heavily playing ultimate frisbee by the young adult Pastors “top dawg” high and mighty favorites who they believed were given entitlement and authority over people outside their clique.
Very welcoming church family. Sound Biblical preaching. Great small groups, youth group, and amazing young adults group. Can’t say enough about this church.
This Church is too political and the pastors are biased/ opinionated on political matters. They try to influence their clergy on how they vote. They aren't preaching the word of Jesus, which is to love thy neighbor, feed the poor, etc. There is hardly any diversity. They do not do enough community outreach with the amount of money they rake in. They are unfortunately what is wrong with Christianity today and by far the number one reason people don't come to know Jesus Christ, a congregation full of hypocrisy.
I really enjoyed the social event that I attended playing music and singing with the River City Dulcimer's last week at the North Jacksonville Baptist Church. They have a really fun group of senior citizens. There were about 200 there at the luncheon to hear our concert sing a long. They served everyone taco salad and had an ice cream bar for desert. I had a very nice time. Thank you for inviting us. Everyone was so kind and appreciative of us sharing our music with them. It's a great atmosphere and safe environment to meet new friends and bring other friends to Jesus Christ.
