Ocean Club of Amelia

This past weekend I officiated a wedding at this venue, it was beautiful! The staff were really friendly, the venue was clean and beautifully decorated. You were just steps from the beach. Parking is small but there's public beach parking next door. Beautiful spot for small events or weddings. Can't wait to go back.

Club Mgr., Emily, parked in only handicapped spot at club. I have a handicapped sticker and had no place to park at the club. Emily has no authorization to park in this spot. Told food would be delivered to table by servers. A buffet was set up-no servers. Fans were inoperable in dining room. The heat was almost unbearable. Bugs were in restroom. Restroom had no paper towels or toilet paper. At least, the food was good; the view was beautiful! Need new management for the Club!

A perfect venue for most events. I would recommend.

Attended a wedding here and it was a nightmare. NO AIR CONDITIOING, think hot everywhere all the time unless you are lucky enough to catch breeze over the dunes. With the exception of the bathroom. A few old dates ceiling fans was the extend of their cooling plans.. Really tight quarters in a dated building with a single file nightmarish walk to the beach. The food was cold- ice cold and parking is a nightmare. Odd people roaming the beach behind the couple getting married and the public beach parking located next to the wedding location provided extra entertainment. There were no placards at the bar so you had to guess what they had to drink. It must be crazy cheap because that’s what it’s worth. If you crave a small venue in a retirement town, this is your place. Oh by the way, they have their own version of Ramon’s from the movie the proposal. He’s the DJ, wedding official and anything else apparently.
