I’ve always had a good experience with the providers at this office, which is why today’s visit was so disappointing once again. Unfortunately, the front office experience just sucks! They made me feel as though bringing my sick child in was an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. At check-in, I was told I had an unpaid copay from my previous visit and that it needed to be paid before my child could be seen. I explained that I always pay my copays and asked her to double-check. After looking again, she realized I had, in fact, already paid and even commented that it was strange the system showed otherwise. Then, the QR code for check-in repeatedly gave me an error. I was told that if I “couldn’t get it,” she would help me, which came across as though I simply couldn’t figure it out. When she tried herself, she encountered the exact same issue. What bothered me most was the overall attitude. Everything seemed like an inconvenience, and there was very little warmth or basic friendliness. Even when we were called back, the interaction felt abrupt and impersonal—shoes off, stand up, sit down, go to the room. When you’re bringing in a sick child, a little kindness and compassion go a long way. Again, I have always liked the providers, but the front office experience matters too. Unfortunately, after today’s visit, I would recommend considering another office if you have that option.
My daughter has been a patient for a few years now. Recently took her, first time since new management, no one checked or asked about her medical allergies. My husband took my daughter for a urinary tract infection, we had done a home test and asked if we could do teledoc, but they said she still needed to come in, but I guess just to get the copay and insurance money, because she was there 15 minutes, didn't give her water when she couldn't pee enough and wait like most doctors, said they wanted a morning sample, send my husband with a collection cup and a script saying not to give it to her until after they test the urine. When he left my husband called and told me about the appointment, I asked what they perscribed, and he said he didn't know, which was already odd to me because typically they go over medical history including drug allergies, and typically the doctor asks again before writing scripts. Told my husband to ask the pharmacist before paying for it, turns out the script was not only a drug class she can't have, but the exact one that makes her have mouth sores and gums bleed, and is listed in her medical records. It was caught, but there should not have been anything to catch. I called the office, asked for a new script and told the reason why, also asked again for something for the discomfort that wasn't given, and no follow up instructions for it. I ended up giving her a half dose of Azo since they don't have otc meds for urinary discomfort for an 11 year old. I delayed writing a review because people can have off days, and even though I had been pretty mad about I didn't want to be unfair, but I keep getting review requests and I thought other parents should be aware. Unfortunately medicine is a quick in and out visit now, more focused on profits than patient care. I cancelled the follow up appointment, and will be looking for a new doctor. I have very few reviews, and usually only do so with good experiences, but this is child care, and I keep getting automated review requests, so here is my honest review of this experience.
I had one appointment with my daughter here three years ago. I’m leaving a review now because of them spamming me to make a drs appointment….even though they know based on transfer records that we’ve been patients elsewhere for years. I only had one visit here because this practice is so shady and unprofessional. My kids are vaccinated but not with the Covid vaccine. I expressed my concerns to the doctor about this vaccine in particular and he proceeded to pressure me give my daughter the Covid vaccine. I felt so uncomfortable. My kids see a doctor at Baptist now and although that practice only takes vaccinated kids they always treat me with respect when I ask vaccine questions and have never pressured me to give my kids the Covid vaccine. In fact they’ve never asked me about it since I told them no the first time. This place was dirty and lacked basic safety measures ( like bio hazard disposal bins for used needles) Stay far away
I take both of my daughters to this pediatric office, and every visit has been such a great experience. The front desk staff is always welcoming and patient, the nurses are gentle and so sweet with my girls, and the doctors truly take their time to listen and explain everything. You can tell they genuinely care. I always feel comfortable bringing my kids here and highly recommend this office to any parent looking for a caring and professional pediatric team.
I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was by far the worst doctor's experience I've ever had. Being 4 days postpartum and bringing in my newborn baby, the staff was incredibly rude, and the office was dirty. We were scheduled for our appointment at 1:00 pm and arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The doors were locked, and no one was answering the door. After attempting to call the office and being on hold for 5 minutes, a nurse stepped out of her car with her boyfriend, grabbed a FedEx box, and then proceeded to slam the door in my face, saying the practice does not open until 1 pm. Our appointment started late, due to a delay in paperwork and processing. Once in the room, we had questions about the Hep B vaccine, and the nurse stated, "This office only takes vaccinated children." She was incredibly condescending and unwelcoming at a time when there was so much confusion with the vaccination schedule. The changing table where they did measurements and weight was dirty, covered in crumbs and hair. It looked as though it had not been wiped down before our visit. We immediately switched providers after leaving. I would not recommend this location to any other new moms.
