We recently attended the Wayne Newton concert at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, and it turned into one of the most memorable live event experiences we’ve had in the area. From the moment we arrived, the venue itself stood out. Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has a unique character, built from the foundation of a historic church, and that design creates a warm, intimate atmosphere that you simply do not get in larger venues. We made it a point to arrive early, and that ended up being one of the best decisions of the night. It gave us time to explore the space, grab a drink, and enjoy the outdoor patio while watching the crowd arrive. You could feel the excitement building as people filtered in. Before the show, we ordered food and drinks, and we have to say, the quality exceeded expectations for a concert venue. The shrimp and grits were surprisingly well prepared, flavorful, and comforting, and the empanadas were so good we actually went back for more. The bar service was friendly, efficient, and generous with pours, which always adds to the overall experience. Once we made our way inside, it became clear just how well designed the venue is. There really is not a bad seat in the house. We were seated just a few rows from the stage, and the proximity made the performance feel personal and immersive. The show itself was incredible. Wayne Newton does far more than perform songs. He brings you into his world. Through a combination of live music, storytelling, and video segments, he takes the audience on a journey through his life and career. One of the most memorable parts for us was hearing his stories about his early years in Las Vegas and his relationship with legendary entertainer Jack Benny. Those moments added depth and emotion that you rarely experience at a concert. Another highlight was the presence of his wife, Kathleen, who co-hosted parts of the evening. Their chemistry on stage added warmth and authenticity, making the show feel even more personal. At 84 years old, Wayne Newton still commands the stage with energy, charisma, and a genuine connection to his audience. The crowd was fully engaged throughout the night, and in a venue this intimate, you feel like you are part of the performance rather than just watching it. What made this experience stand out is that it was not just a concert. It was a full event. The combination of venue, atmosphere, storytelling, and performance created something memorable that stayed with us long after the night ended. If you are looking for an intimate concert venue, a unique date night experience, or a memorable live music event in Ponte Vedra Beach, we highly recommend checking out Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and keeping an eye on their upcoming shows. Be sure to view the photos from the evening; they really capture how special this venue and performance are. ★★★★★ 5 Stars
Fist time and have been wanting to go for years. Concert sounded great, venue is small and intimate, seats not comfortable but that's not unusual. View from 11th row was not good and really couldn't see the stage due to all the peoples heads blocking my view. Definitely will give another chance from a different location.
Great venue to see a show. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is average but affordable. Wide selection of drinks. Indoor/Outdoor seating to eat and have drinks.
Sound could be better in terms of bass, and midrange. High end was fine. however, we had seats that we bought but didn’t use them, looks like someone else did. Drinks are priced like the stadium. Staff were super friendly.
The concert hall refurbishing has resulted in much better sound and more comfortable seating. The seats used to be very uncomfortable and you sat way too close to those seated next to you. I went to the Steve Hackett (Genesis) show. The performance was amazing with great song selections from both the Genesis years and his solo material. The band sounded great. A POWERFUL PERFORMANCE to say the least. Selections from both his early Genesis work through his solo years. Parking was easy and free. Staff was pleasant.
