PossAbilities Plus (Atlantic Beach) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I’m sitting here writing this and honestly, it makes me want to cry just thinking about the beauty of this place. PossAbilities Plus isn't just a boutique or a tea room—it is a heartbeat for our community. The possibilities here are endless; you walk in for a vintage treasure or a 'Cup of Dreams' coffee, but you leave with a shifted perspective on what it means to belong. Their amazing mission is what truly hits home. They’ve created a sanctuary where young adults with neurodiversities and special abilities aren't just 'included'—they are the stars. They are gaining real-world job skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose that the world often forgets to offer. Every purchase, every cup of tea, and every donation goes directly into proving that every single person has a gift to share. It is pure, unfiltered magic to see a space where 'disability' is replaced by 'capability.' If you want to support a mission that actually changes lives while you shop, this is the most beautiful spot in the 904. My heart is so full!"
For years, I have visited this thrift store, admiring and supporting its mission. As a registered service dog trainer, I work closely with individuals with disabilities and mobility limitations. It was deeply upsetting to be asked to leave the store simply for entering with a service animal. Although registration and licensing are not legally required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), this was a fully trained service animal — not an emotional support animal — and I clearly communicated that distinction. I was told I needed to leave because one of the employees is highly allergic to dogs. While I can certainly understand the need to accommodate someone with a severe allergy, that employee was not present at the time. Additionally, I was informed that even service animals were not permitted due to this allergy. This directly contradicts the signage posted on the store’s entrance (door) which clearly states that service animals are permitted. After I pointed out the inconsistency, I received an apology, but was still required to leave. Denying access to an individual accompanied by a service animal — particularly when service animals are explicitly permitted by federal law — is not only inconsistent with ADA regulations, but constitutes discrimination. As someone who advocates for individuals with disabilities, I sincerely hope the store takes steps to educate staff on ADA compliance to prevent this from happening to others in the future.
What do I love….tea and deals! What a magnificent place that has a tea room and a little shop that makes dreams come true! If in JAX area , please visit them….The sandwiches and teas were marvelous but the staff melted my heart!
had lunch today with three friends. Very clean, charming Tea Room. Food was very good, but the service was outstanding....from our greeting, to our goodbye. Recommend for any group or occasion. Will definitely visit again.
PossAbilities Plus is a wonderful place to find vintage, antique, and new items. Everything you buy supports the good works they do. Very friendly staff!
