This insurance company has increased our premium almost 150% in 3 years with no reasonable reason ! There is no claims , the market in Tampa is colling and house prices are coming down . What did they do? My insurance premium went from 2k in 2023 to almost 5.5k in 2026 . Imagine how much Will I pay for Home insurance in the next 5 years if I keep my policy with this company? Note: Their reply here on the comments asking you to send an email to them is a pure BS ! They do not reply . I cancelled my policy and find a better quote , you should do it too.

I am writing regarding a claim we filed on January 7, 2026, which has still not been settled. We are longtime Southern Oak policyholders and had expected to be treated with honesty,promptly and respectfully. We are disappointed that has not been the case. We were previously informed that we could expect a settlement several weeks ago; however, that did not materialize. Our adjuster, Al Sturkie, subsequently requested additional information. After receiving those details, Mr. Sturkie confirmed on February 13th that he had everything he needed and stated we would hear from SOI by the 17th or 18th at the latest. To date, we have not received a settlement offer, and our recent calls and emails have gone unreturned. I have already emailed the SOIpolicyholder email that you tell people to contact you thru. This is why people get public adjusters

Usually one of cheapest, reputable Home insurance companies. You need to go through a broker for insurance. Mine was half what competition offered. You just can't have any claims in past 3 years.I paid $1500 a year!!!

We came home from an overseas vacation to a huge bathroom leak. I called Southern Oak right away and the next day they sent Joe Taylor Restoration who provided air purifier and dehumidifiers. It was a lengthy process from beginning till the end but we are very satisfied with the customer service that we received. Ms. Brittany Williams worked really hard on our claim. She called so many times to check on us and the process of the renovation. She really cared about us, so professional and kind hearted. Southern Oak is lucky to have her on their team. We are so glad we have this insurance and we got the best people to assist us. We highly recommend this company.
