Southern Shores Seafood Jacksonville

The food here is absolutely AMAZING! The service is just as wonderful! If you want fresh seafood, cooked to order, this is a great place! I am personally, a connessoiur of FRESH CRAB. Having traveled up and down the Eastern Seaboard, I found this place has succulent snow crabs. PROS: Excellent food and service Immaculate and clean bathrooms Actually have real China plates, real forks, spoons, cracker and fork for your crab without asking (really important!) Excellent condiments.... really Excellent! Several televisions tuned in to popular sports games ICE COLD BEER, REPEAT: ICE COLD BEER! CONS: NO cocktails, beer and wine only (but great selection of beer and wine) so no bloody mary. It is family friendly, so you may experience a future genius screaming because his peas touched his mac n cheese.

Stephanie was phenomenal. Her professionalism, knowledge of the menu, and her customer service was top tier. She definitely contributed to our wonderful guest experience. We are from Georgia and are here on vacation and found this place by Googling "best seafood in Jacksonville", and you absolutely lived up to the hype. My husband had the stuff salmon, a side of catfish fingers, collard greens and mac-n-cheese. I had shrimp cocktail, fried green tomatoes, oysters on the half shell and the crab legs and MY GOD!!!, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I'm a bit of a fried green tomatoes snob and usually keep my expectations low bcs everyone doesn't know how to cook them or season them. These are by far the best I've ever eaten outside of my own and my grandmother's kitchen. Will definitely be back. If I had a complaint, it would be that my side salad was lettuce and two small tomatoes only. No cucumbers, cheese, croutons, etc in mine.

What an awesome experience. Everything about our lunch was perfect. The portions were huge, flavors were great and the service couldn't have been better. Evette was our server and was quite busy taking care of all of her tables and didn't miss a lick checking up on us. Our hostess Darlene was busy seating everyone and talking to them to ensure their experience was good. Just an overall nice relaxing meal that couldn't be topped. It was our 1st visit and we will certainly be returning.

Saturday 3.07.26 Southern Shores Seafood was my choice this week. A very good choice it was. We were lucky to have Dakota for our waitress. She was very knowledgeable, polite and efficient. Hubby had a cup of clam chowder and the breaded frog legs. Lightly breaded and the breading was very tasty. I had the lobster platter for one. There was so much food it could have been for two. Two lobster tails, broiled to perfection, 3 grilled scallops, 3 grilled shrimp, 3 fried oysters, stiffed crab & 3 hush puppies and 2 sides of my choice. Didn’t really get to eat the sides since all the seafood was so perfect and very filling. They have beer, wine and soft drinks. Only complaint, they serve the soup with the dinner. I overheard the owner say the logo was designed by his sister. Good job.
