Really enjoyed the holes I was able to play! I was there during Porchfest which meant the starting and ending holes were unplayable but the rest were great. I always appreciate when an unusually shaped piece of land is used for disc golf. I’m sure the entire course would have been even better!
Layout of the course is pretty sweet! A few holes are hard to find because there isn't good signage between the holes (9-10, 17-18), but that was also on me for not checking the layout prior to playing. Overall conditions were good when I played, nice views of the city from the first few holes. Good mix of long and short shots as well, makes you use a variety of disc/shots
Along this walk, we walked along the Springfield Disc Golf Course – a sprawling public disc golf course in the heart of Jacksonville. Enroute, we also came across an ingenious children’s activity by the Jacksonville Public Library known as Story Walk. Story Walk is actually a story that is lined along a walking path (hence the name), that allows kids to go out and interact with nature with usually an activity involved. Hence, learning while exercising. An excellent idea! During this walk, we also came across Bethel Church – a very beautiful complex, the no. 2 Fire House as well as the Main Street Food Park. We then came upon Artessence Coffee Shop… For more details, visit 2bearbear today!
Awesome spot to play disc golf, im just starting to play but catching on quick thanks to my friends and we love yo come play here, its a quick walk or ride from my place which is great and its Always clean now, a lot better than it was when we used to go there years ago to hang out in the 90s
Love this easy par 3 course. Walk through the historic Springfield area and enjoy a quick game under bridges and around parks. You can get through this course in about an hr and half to 2 hrs depending on traffic. It’s free to play and have league on the weekends.
