We came here as the some others highly recommended it. While it didn’t live up to the hype, it’s still a decent spot to hit. Our waitress said the line to get in is usually lined up down the sidewalk. We came here on a hot summer evening when they weren’t as busy. The hostess was indifferent which was odd as they are the first face of the establishment. Our waitress was friendly but there didn’t appear to be enough staff for all of the tables, so service was a little slow. It was definitely warm out so I’m not faulting the waitress. The food was okay to good. It just wasn’t my style. I had ribs that they said were smoked with a cherry bourbon glaze. There was definitely more cherry than I was expecting which made the ribs taste off. They were tender though. Food presentation was good. My wife liked her grouper and grits with a key lime pie for dessert. The cocktail shrimp were just okay. The coleslaw was not good at all. If we come back here, I’ll change up what I order. There is limited seating inside which can have long wait times. The patio seating is decent as there was live music when we came here. There are ants and flies, but it’s outside so you expect bugs in Florida. They do have some spinning devices on the tables to try to keep the flies away.

Absolutely the best restaurant downtown! The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff super friendly! As a regular and a local, it's one of my favorites! The chef and kitchen are hands down the best! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a fun entertaining place downtown, The Patio is highly recommended!
First time visiting Fernandina Beach. We decided on the Patio for dinner and I’m so glad we did!! We ordered the Buratta Caprese and Crab cakes to start and ohhhhhhh man they were so good!!! We ordered the shrimp and grits and the grouper sandwich! Both were delicious!!!
Outstanding restaurant. Atmosphere is cool, and if the weather is nice, sitting outside is just awesome. Food and service is equally outstanding. Every other restaurant in the area has seating, this place is packed from the minute they open till late at night. There's a reason for that. Meatballs are wonderful and the crab cakes are about as good as you can get at a restaurant that's not in maryland.
Our server was great but we were told we had to wait 25 minutes but waited almost an hour. They’re short staffed today, no big deal. Anyways, happy hour is great even though the draft menu has only two options. Never had the cosmocos but it’s local, so absolutely getting it every time. It’s good. I got the shrimp and grits, it was recommended by the server, FANTASTIC. My wife got the lobster ravioli and it has some sorta crustacean on the side, cut in half. They weren’t good but the lobster ravioli was. It would be twice as good to lose those lobster tail things and drop the price $10. Everybody had a good time, worth the wait I’d say.
