We designed our house and had plans ready to build. We discussed them with several builders, but we didn't feel comfortable with their ability to meet our needs. We then found TLC Home with Tracy & Alan and it just seemed to click. We remember thinking during the initial discussions that this seems to be too good to be true. Thankfully it wasn't. Not only were they able to bring our project in on budget, we had full transparency of the build and we were even able to work at reducing costs. The people who worked on the construction site were gracious and respectful and performed great work. We were especially impressed by Al and his team from Collins construction who did a large amount of the construction, they are a great example of the craftsmen Tracy & Alan use. As with any project, there are always bumps, but they worked closely with us to find a solution. For half of the construction we were up north, but they would keep us updated with photos or videos so we could see the progress. In addition, they worked closely with our pool builder and other miscellaneous crews to have a seamless completion. Simply said, TLC Home was EXACTLY the type builder we wanted and we recommend them without reservation. They are a delight to work with, listen to what you want and work tirelessly to make it happen. If you are looking for a builder, look no further.

Interviewed several local contractors to handle the construction of a 23'x26' family room and covered patio addition to our home. All were personable and professional, but something about Tracy and Alan stood out and just resonated with us. Friendly, relaxed, open, attentive, professional, confident, and competent. Something just felt 'right'. The very best part is that what we saw at our first meeting, is what we got from the very beginning to the very end of our project. Tracy is meticulous with 'the numbers' and the details. Their bid was clear and concise and well within our budget. Every component relating to the project was detailed, itemized, and assigned a dollar amount. Tracy keeps everything on track and the project flowing. Alan brings years of solid construction knowledge and know-how to the table. His advice and suggestions were invaluable. If a subcontractor was working on a particular day, we were sure to see Alan checking in, looking things over, talking with the workers, and asking us if we had any issues or concerns. Not once did we ever have to "track him down"... if we had a question it was one call, or one text, and we had Alan's response. Speaking of the subs... Each and every subcontractor and their crews were skilled, efficient, and professional. All were polite and respectful to us, our family, and our property. Each and every one was genuinely concerned with our overall satisfaction with the project. The pride in their workmanship was obvious and certainly worked to our benefit with outstanding results. Now, with the construction part of our home improvement plan over, all that can be said is that we're happy we went with TLC and we're thrilled with how everything turned out. Thank you Tracy and Alan... and, of course, all the subcontractors as well !!!
Finding a custom home builder that knows what they’re doing AND communicates well can be challenge, unless you find the right team. Alan and Tracy Chappell are the right team. We met with them on our property in late June 2021. We had architectural plans in hand already, but hadn’t found the right builder. They made us feel at ease and gave us the confidence we were looking for. We knew it was going to be a long journey, and along the way, there were several challenges, but Alan and Tracy did their best to not only keep our emotions in check, but figure out a way to get around the obstacle or delay. Through several supply delays, they found a way to keep the job moving forward. Also, Tracy took a lot of time to help us with decisions and finding ways of saving us money in a very challenging market. We got our CO and moved in right before Thanksgiving (Nov 2022). We’re blessed to have met Alan and Tracy, and have them build our home. If you’re thinking about building a custom home, expect delays and obstacles, but make sure you partner with a great team to get through it. Thank you TLC Home for an amazing job! Pictures attached.
TLC was recommended to us by friends with a footnote: "bad communicators"... we just had to find out how bad it was! They made critical decisions on our project with the engineer leaving us out; decisions which caused us 2 months delay! Even worse, decisions made before we had their estimate, therefore, without a contract! From our POV, it was dishonest and unethical. NOTE: God bless you with your "good faith"! You made decisions on out project without us knowing before we had an estimate and before we had a contract, if we would ever had one! You "good faith" cost us weeks in delays!! We had no business changing the roof from conventional to trusses without talking to us!! Where would you get the money to make deposit on trusses plans?? You were dishonest and wronged us!! That was the only reason you didn't get our project and you know it!! We had 5 General Contractors lined up for their estimates, we were just waiting for the structural plans, which you stop and delayed waiting for trusses plans. But how would you do that right? We had no money to put the deposit on!! Now we all know how the process works! Have a good life!!
TLC Home just completed the renovation of our home built in the 1980’s. We had put off this major remodel for years because of the obvious concerns. Not just the monetary aspects but possible overwhelming stress that can come along with a project of this size. We were very fortunate and blessed to find Alan and Tracy Chapell of TLC. This construction company is both responsive and responsible from the initial fair estimate until the completion of the remodel. To our relief we never felt stressed. We had a great working relationship which is essential when working with your contractor. We always felt comfortable when we needed to get in touch with them. They were always available. And we never felt like we were hassling them. Their professionalism showed in their promptness, quality of work, knowledge, communication, and availability. With our agreement with TLC we could stress less. We are so grateful for Alan and Tracy and the entire crew of TLC. Their work ethic is impeccable and their follow up fantastic. We highly recommend TLC Home. Thank you Alan and Tracy. We couldn’t be happier with the results. We ended up with our dream home that we and our family will enjoy for years! Robert and Linda
