I feel very fortunate to have gotten in with Dr Barnhorst. He was not my first choice at Florida Eye Specialists but due to his availability at the Nocatee location I chose him so as to see someone as soon as possible to address my Fuchs Dystrophy. So glad I did as 3 months later and two cataract surgeries later I'm definitely in the best hands I could be in. I drive 40 minutes to get to the Nocatee office and think nothing of it because the staff and the environment are wonderful and Dr Barnhorst must be the best. Feeling very blessed.
Was lucky enough to find Dr Barnhorst when I moved to Jacksonville 23 years ago. And he has never let me down. He gives the best care and if I needed a specialist, he only recommended the top doctor in that field I truly believe that he has been responsible for the fact that, as complicated as my eye condition is, I still can see. I'm grateful for meeting him and recommend him with the highest praise.
I was referred to Dr. Barnhorst to eval for glaucoma due to high risk meds I take. The staff were kind and considerate from beginning to end! I went through an array of tests before seeing doc and I was very impressed with the thoroughness!! Doc provided me with all the info I needed and I feel I can trust him and his expertise! I would recommend this clinic for anyone requiring more than a regular eye checkup.
Dr. Barnhorst is such a good doctor. He cares about his patients, and always takes time to answer any questions. His entire staff, from the front desk, to the medical assistants, are all professional and personable. We feel very blessed to have Dr. Barnhorst as our Ophthalmologist. I highly recommend him.
We have been seeing Dr Barnhorst in Nocatee since 2020, and he is “our guy.” Dry eye, cataract surgeries, permanent implants, a vitrectomy (which he diagnosed and referred me to a surgeon.) He is always funny, friendly, and great to speak with, as we discuss our eye issues (as well as a little sports.) We have referred him to several friends, and would never hesitate to do so going forward.
